Medicaid Eligibility after Discharge – The ability to locate a patient, obtain their cooperation in the Medicaid application process and prepare a detailed application is a skill that HCE has perfected through years of experience.  

HCE will contact patients, send field representatives to visit patients and assist them in the preparation of detailed applications. Additionally, HCE works directly with local Medicaid programs on city, county and the state level, to resolve issues that may arise in the application process.

Medicaid Eligibility during Hospital Stay – When difficult cases arise, when backlogs prevent internal hospital staff from completing all applications or when remote facilities are understaffed, outsourcing the application process to HCE is a cost effective solution. The faster the patient is involved in the process, the more cooperative they are and the quicker an application will be approved.

HCE provides temporary or long-term, partial or permanent outsourcing solutions. A seamless outsourcing solution can be implemented by utilizing the experienced professionals at HCE. 

Hospice Eligibility – Hospice eligibility during the admission process and recertification is critical when obtaining Medicaid payment. HCE understands the requirements of Hospice eligibility and can effectively manage this process for the provider.

Interim Staffing – The most opportune time to obtain a Medicaid application is while the patient is in the facility. Many providers fail to take advantage of this opportunity because of staff shortages and interruptions caused by vacation, illness or other employment related situations. Pursuing a patient once discharge occurs can be very costly and will almost always delay Medicaid payment.

HCE provides experienced Medicaid representatives to work with patients to complete their Medicaid applications and file it on their behalf. Normally, this is accomplished while the patient is in the facility. HCE’s professionals will follow the facility’s guidelines and perform as though they are part of the facility’s own staff.
